My second CD was released in August of 1998. It features my quartet and quintet (with saxophone, drums, and one or two basses), plus duos with trumpeter Hugh Ragin and a few solo tracks.
The
material is a mix of originals and seldom heard compositions by Charles
Mingus, Keith Jarrett, David S. Ware, and even Jacques Offenbach. As
with my debut, The
Spanish Inquisition, the music is coming from the jazz
tradition, but leaning a bit towards the avant-garde.
The reviews are in!
